Homes, studios, workshops, cafes, shops and galleries were thrown open in Leytonstone this month for the ninth annual arts trail.
The event took place between 2 and 10 July and featured 67 exhibitions and 25 events in venues across the area.
Exhibitions featured watercolours, oil paintings, outdoor installations and perambulatory performances.
Events included workshops and taster sessions, as well as live painting and drag nights.
The arts trail was named the champion of the BBC’s Get Creative competition, which promotes arts, culture and creativity across the country.
Eleanor Bedlow, the 2016 chair of the event, said: “We’re very proud to be a BBC Get Creative champion and we fully support the initiative to encourage more people to see, think and make. We’d like to welcome people to creative Leytonstone, this unique corner of London that has fostered and inspired so many artists over the years.”
