Hundreds of homes proposed for Walthamstow

A planning application to provide hundreds of new homes in Walthamstow has been submitted to Waltham Forest Council.

Hadley Property Group is proposing to transform underused land at South Grove, close to St James Street Station, into 473 homes, a small shop or cafe, landscaped public spaces and new routes for pedestrians and cyclists.

Plans were devised in collaboration with Pollard Thomas Edwards architects, designers of the award-winning development The Scene in Walthamstow town centre. Public consultation events for the development took place in November 2015 and January 2016.

The council is expected to take a decision on the application during the next few weeks.
