Discount designer clothing outlet, TK Maxx, is set to open a new shop at The Mall in Walthamstow, while Costa Coffee has also opened a new unit.
Capital & Regional, which owns the mall, announced that TK Maxx would take around 2,415sq m at the shopping centre on a lease term of 15 years. It will open on 18 February 2016.
Costa Coffee recently opened a unit of around 110sq m at the site, committing to a lease of 10 years.
New openings follow on from Sports Direct, who upsized, taking around 1,115sq m of space at the centre and video games retailer, Game, which opened in August 2015.
Capital & Regional completed its £3 million refurbishment of The Mall, Walthamstow in May 2015.
Sian Bowen, retail asset manager, at Capital & Regional, said: “Since the completion of the refurbishment we have seen increased demand from existing and new retailers for space at the centre. We are confident that we can attract further investment by new retailers and bring more leading brands into the town centre in future”
The Mall, Walthamstow, attracts an average weekly footfall of 185,000. The 24,150sq m scheme is currently home to 60 stores include Asda, BHS, Boots, River Island and Waterstones.
