Bywaters is planning to relocate its Leyton commercial recycling facility to pave the way for up to 675 homes, 4,000sq m of employment space and a two-form entry primary school.
The company has scheduled a date to submit a planning application to Waltham Forest Council for the end of November. Proposals also include improvements to the public realm, with landscaping and parking to be developed.
The commercial recycling facility will be relocated to Bow in Tower Hamlets. A seperate civic household recycling facility will remain on the site and will be upgraded and Thames Water tanks will be relocated to the corner of the site to increase the size of the developable area.
Employment space will be aimed at attracting SMEs and local entrepreneurs. Bywaters are in a period of public consultation in advance of submitting a planning application.
